Crucible's 50 lb. atomizer is also configured to allow casting of ingots to allow our customers to investigate custom cast and wrought metals. Castings of P/M compositions can also be valuable in comparing the properties of ingot metallurgy and powder metallurgy materials, the latter benefiting from fine grain structure, excellent homogeneity, full density, and good shape capability.
Castings up to 50 lbs. and 13 inches tall (including hot top) are available in any composition that can be melted.
